Good News First:
I just got back from a week long camping/kayaking trip down the Buffalo River in Arkansas and it was AMAZING. I put over 90 miles on my 'yak. And I finally got some of that outdoorsy nature-time that I had been dying to get. The trip ended much to soon, but all good things must come to an end, right??
Things have kind of settled down around here. Enough for me to actually be able to catch my breath. I still have loads to do, mostly post-trip nonsense, but it'll all get done eventually.
It has been raining here off and on since I got back, which I am enjoying very much. Don't get me wrong I like 90* July summers just as much as the next person, but I also love green living plants. Plus all of this rain will bring us just that much closer to being drought free. So yay!
Bad News ow (more like mixed news):
I was finally approved for my jaw surgery (no that is nooooot the bad news)!!
But. I can't have the surgery until October. OCTOBER. Do you even know what this means!!!?? I have to live with the pain and the braces for just thaaaaat much longer. I know. I know. I'm being a whiny child. And I need to look at the positive side of things, at least I got approved.
However, this also means that I'll have to miss two weeks of school. How the hell is a college student suppose to be able to miss two weeks of school and not fall behind??? I haven't the slightest idea. So unless I can work something out with my teachers this next semester I may have to wait until December to get my jaw fixed in between semesters...like I was TRYING to do this summer, just drawing it out even loooooonger.
On a side note:
I am officially moving this fall. Which, honestly scares the shit out of me, but I can't stay in the same place forever. I have my fingers crossed for a little house with a nice fenced in yard for Daisy to ruuuuuuun and run in. But we'll see. At least she gets to come with me. And that makes me happy.
